A confidential space to explore the thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life
Welcome, and thank you for visiting Wellbeing Counselling. My name is Lindani and I am a counsellor providing both face-to-face counselling in Guildford and online counselling via Zoom.
As a counsellor my role is to provide a safe and confidential space. I work in a way that is honest without a mask or pretence. I work to understand, empathise and offer unconditional positive regards and support you in a way that will help move forward. The pace is purely led by my clients, I won't pressure you to talk about anything you not ready to explore, I might bring something to your awareness to help you reflect and self-actualise but this won't be directive in any way. I will help you process this in a safe and non-directive way.
I've over 20 years experience of working in the social care industry. I am a BA (Hons) Level 6 qualified humanistic person-centred counsellor.
I have experience in blended work, working with domestic abuse, sexual abuse, substance misuse, trauma, anxiety and low mood amongst other presenting life challenges.
My work is client-centred and thrive towards other approaches when working 1:1 with clients to help suit the individual needs.
I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP) and abide by their code of ethics.
Counselling takes place in a safe space, where you can meet with someone who will listen with sensitivity and empathy - and without judgement. In the therapy space thoughts and feelings can be expressed freely and in confidence.
Many people face difficulties in their everyday lives that can be hard to get on top of. Counselling gives us a set of tools we can use to help gain a better understanding of what’s causing these problems - and how you can move towards managing or resolving them.
Working together I can help you gain greater insight into the difficulties you are facing, help you understand why you act or react to them the way you do, and see how you can start to make better, heathier choices moving forward.
People come to me for help a wide range of issues. Here are a few of the more common difficulties that can be supported through counselling:
Problems with confidence or self-esteem
Problems with addiction
Grief, loss or bereavement
Work or retirement
Family or school life
Sessions last for 50minutes. I offer Zoom, telephone or face-to-face for £55 fee. Face-to-face sections take place the Willow Health Therapy Rooms in Guildford.
I offer a free 30minutes assessment session, where I will go through the contract and assessment notes Q&A and this will allow you time to ask about my services.
I also offer a discounted fee for students.
Payments can be made via bank transfer or in person by cash after each session.
